Pros

Access to aftermarket parts for a great price. Good benefits. Some great co-workers. Newer equipment to use. Newer inventory. Good selection of parts.

Cons

People at corporate making decisions that probably have never worked in a salvage yard. Company is ran by numbers not by common sense! Not a lot of room for advancement.

Pros

Fun people to work with, light-hearted and keep things fun. Flexible with time off and special requests. Most people will answer your questions and offer help if you're having trouble with some situations. Benefits are really nice, with a lot of different options. Never work weekends. Employee discounts on parts is extremely nice. You received a jacket or sweatshirt at Christmas, a $50 gift card and there's a gift swap at the end of the year.

Cons

There are no other bonuses. Inside Sales is nearly 85% incoming calls with no incentives and no bonuses. You make no commission but will handle 100+ calls with customers of varying difficulty and make some cold calls. Customers constantly call at the end of the day, so you're often late leaving. There is no training at all, I had to just ask the other ISC's what I should be doing, but when it's busy, you have no time to learn. There was also very little training on the computer programs you use. They handle thousands of different products, so unless you've worked in the industry, there is a substantial learning curve learning which products they stock, which needs to be special ordered ect. Management is minimal and extremely passive. As a driver, the parent company uses Keystone to deliver salvage parts and you are often presented with conflicting information that delays the routes.
