Pros

Some decent ethical coworkers in and out of corporate IT.

Cons

Extremely poor compensation. Extremely poor communication. Extremely poor documentation. No plan to correct and refine the roles to reflect real world salaries based on even the lowest end of salaries.com. Management even down to the supervisors in IT were nothing but a group of cronies that looked out for only those within their immediate group. They did several internal promotions where they didn't interview a single soul and promoted themselves. No outside postings and no internal postings. This happened not once but twice within 6 months. Since they are a public company this is to my knowledge illegal. HR does not seem to notice these discrepancies. Since the cronyism is likely not limited to IT the management reach further into other departments such as HR in a you scratch my back I will scratch yours manner. Treated salary as hourly no matter how manner hours or weekends you worked. I would describe the management and their style as infantile with no measure of common sense much less ability to lead or manage others properly. Even if they had management training they still subscribe to the anti-management style of micro management. You could work 60 hours in a week and over a weekend and you would still have to adhere to normal business hours even though the extra hours you put in for them was well into the midnight hour. Even though salary they treated you as an hourly employee trying to use the rules that benefited them from both classifications with no regard to the employee. No business ethics as they treated everyone with disdain especially those that had experience and/or more education than them. They refuse to see the growth and changes in the organization and set absolutely unrealistic goals and pressure on a staff that is already completely overburdened. Any ideas or changes that could have made the work environment better (or even tolerable) were rejected outright. Doing this was even considered insubordination and could get you in trouble with those that imposed a status quo. Their ignorant stance was if you don't like it leave or we will make your life so miserable that you will wish you had.

Pros

Agile and quick to pull triggers on business decisions, growth-oriented, creating shareholder value. The company has been in growth mode since the beginning and has been growing 25% a year for the last 6 and it is not slowing down.

Cons

Supporting functions (non-sales / operations) do not get the recognition. Inconsistencies in treating employees, regardless of whether they are performing or not. Favoritism is carried out in certain department.
