Pros

It's a great place to work. Relaxed environment. Many departments for you to find good work.

Cons

Average age is low, so for people who want to work in a high-energy environment this might be an issue.

LMI is a Clown Show

Pros

Some colleagues/team members were highly competent and professional.

Cons

Management at all levels is disengaged from rank and file, only concerned with their own enrichment/self-promotion. Management pressures employees to push poorly-conceived / inadequately-developed “solutions” (products/services) to clients. Also, HR is essentially nonexistent.

Not what it used to be

Pros

LMI used to be a phenomenal company. Key words - used to be. Ever since 2022 when investors and financial backing changed, this company began prioritizing profit over people and it’s been downhill since. LMI was once one of the best places to work. It was a bit of a hidden gem but those who knew of it, knew of its exemplary reputation for quality work and quality employees who support the government and also for how well employees were treated. Employees could do valuable work and thrive in a culture that prioritized work life balance, teamwork, and was less cut throat and stuffy than some of the other consulting firms like the big 4 and other contractors in the DMV.

Cons

LMI is in a position where they are rebranding and trying to position themselves as “Deloitte 2.0.” Companies must do what they need to do to make a profit and survive in this environment, however there are right and wrongs ways of going about things. Leadership is dishonest, employees and their well being come last, and LMI’s actions don’t match the ethics they claim to have. At one time this was a great firm to join, but now it’s not worth it. Come here if you want a contracting firm that’s in a weird stage of trying to rebrand and also doesn’t care about you and will lie to your face.
