      A truly great company with lots of flexibility.

      Cons

      There aren't a lot of opportunities for junior people to rise through the ranks. Ambitious prospective employees should consider other firms with more structured career tracks.

      Pros

      LMI's culture is one of the best! The people are skilled, hardworking, and very approachable. One of the more "laid back" environments in government consulting. Their benefits are exceptional.

      Cons

      It is extremely hard to move within the company. Once you are hired for a specific contract, it's expected that you work on that contract until the extreme foreseeable future (5+ years).

      Pros

      The people and culture is what makes LMI great. They are both connected to its non profit mission which provides the government with unbiased insights.

      Cons

      You don't come to LMI to make partner in 10 years. Expect to keep your same role for a long time. LMI is burdened by bueraracy which gets in the way of good people. Those who are best at the bueraracy excel.
