Pros

Great managers, great client. Entry level hires will find good career development. Retired military have always found good opportunity to practice the skills they've learned. Work is interesting, co-workers cooperative.

Cons

Management and business support teams have converged to become the very thing LMI is supposed to correct. Senior leadership is dishonest, and skimming huge bonuses despite numerous, costly mistakes. Promoted incompetent puppet to Sr VP. New VPs hired to shield senior leaders, most of these VPs have no clue about LMI, and so far have brought in no new business despite top salaries. Goals for them are nil, meaning LMI will continue to lose money on these hires. Business support services have become bureaucratic messes, with incompetent leaders setting forth slow, complicated processes that drag down all operations. LMI was established to assist gov't to become more efficient, now we've become a company that conducts the worst bureaucratic processes, and we have mid-level managers who aren't even aware that this can be improved, let alone should be improved.

Pros

Good retirement and good salary if you negotiate well when you come in

Cons

Don't expect a salary bump up after you come in except for a less then 3% raise every year. Its a flat organization so really no wait to move up the ranks quickly. If you are an off-site employee expect 0 upper management support or career development. They are haven't really worked out how to integrate or develop off-site employees.

Pros

History of good management - staff relationships. Financial strength from 4 or 5 years of continued growth of corporate revenues and bookings.

Cons

Senior management made an across the board reduction of corporate contribution to retirement of 5% as a cost cutting, belt tightening move. Meanwhile the CEO receives a million dollar bonus! No shared sacrifice at LMI!
