This company is lacking in training, lacking in communication from top down, and lacking in collaboration. This company operates like it is 20+ years ago. Not great at change.

night shifts, having to switch between night and day shifts all the time is hard on your body, repetitive work, gets boring, some safety procedures not always followed, caddy work environment, union protects some workers who don't do their jobs, low bonuses for front line workers, dealing with hazardous chemicals on daily basis, poor air quality, favouritism

Lack of diversity. Lack of career development. No training to speak of. Building industry is cyclical, so extreme good times/bad times pretty much all the time. Manufacturing environment, so stressful at times even far away from mills and warehouses. Culture rapidly changing since HQ moved to Nashville. New IT systems poses the usual challenges (eg. outsourcing).

Management needs improvement. Better training.

Long wait as "temporary employee" (frequently seven months+) with no insurance or other benefits. Management frequently shows favoritism toward friends and family in promotions/switching jobs.

Market downturns can affect the mill.
