Pros

There are great people and teams at LPL who truly want to solve complex problems, do great work and celebrate one another.

Cons

So many. -Leadership lacks the ability to make good decision and move the work and infrastructure forward to allow for the company to scale. -Leadership lacks commitment and authenticity regarding people and talent initiatives. -Company operates as a startup and creates its own chaos due to lack of standardization of even the basic policies -Lack of courage as leaders and employees operate with a lack of integrity and honesty and continue to pull the wool over the CEO's eyes with regards to ability to execute. -Paralysis analysis with endless power points, frameworks and data lakes that are reviewed endlessly creating slow and painful death by a thousand cuts and inhibits ability for tams to make progress. -Lack of ownership and accountability of senior leadership.

Pros

Great for people who like fast-paced Product and Tech environment. LPL frequently seeks feedback from clients and employees.

Cons

No cost-of-living adjustments, so compensation is not keeping up with inflation. New return to office strategy hasn't been officially announced (but it has clearly been decided). This puts even more strain on families who now have to incur additional costs for daycare, etc. HR is disingenuous about decision to make everyone come back to the office.

Pros

Good learning and career path opportunities but you have to be opportunistic and able to tolerate a strategy that is "all things to all people", a high degree of ambiguity, and lack of organized and standard processes.

Cons

NOT a people first culture (clients or employees). Employer of choice and client-centricity commitments are lip service when considering actual actions and decision making. It's mainly a self-preservation, short term, profit motivated organization with decision making dominated by the c-suite, little to no distributed empowerment, and a work environment that is very busy but not productive. It's also very political, increasingly so in the past few years.
