Abysmal Organization and Leadership

Pros

The office had nice balcony and the soda was cheap I suppose. Co-workers were nice for the majority of them.

Cons

There is an extensive list of cons at this location and company. The job description and everything was very confusing until you actually were able to get into the company. Quickly found how poorly run the location was and how abysmal the organization and leadership was. Communication did not exist, you were expected to handle all issues, even if there was no guidance or clue on how to handle that issue and it was not uncommon for the whole team to be confused or not know what was going on or how to handle something. HR intentionally is open for less than half the day and obviously during "busy" time so you can never really reach out to them in meaningful ways. The leadership was so poor, managers had zero clue what was going on, didn't even know how to do simple stuff like questions on scheduling, and don't even bother trying to find any meaningful help if stuck on a call from them. The higher leadership were such cowards too, they wouldn't even come to see their team when visiting the office and started micro-managing every moment of the day on the phones. On top of that, I was straight appalled by the way LPL handles its clients. I would hear so many clients complain and it was hard to side with LPL as many of them were truly wronged on how LPL ran their operations and would leave some to the wolves. The company had serious system issues and technical issues constantly. Many team members provided criticisms and expressed frustration but it was clear it would just go over "leaderships" heads and never led to anything. Bonuses were a joke, you can't score them on your own merit and it was setup for you to fail them intentionally. Pay was pretty whatever for the amount of expertise and expectations of the job and really no real career growth unless lucky or tons of past experience (even that did not matter much). Turnover was insane and there was even layoffs while everyone was struggling to keep up. My favorite story is that on Employee Appreciation Day they could not even do a simple headcount for bagels and so anyone who came in at 8:00 AM or later got nothing. Each day was draining and dreadful, I would not wish anyone to work here or anyone to even due business with them,

Pros

Flexible work schedule Most teams are family-like, very friendly environment Decent benefits You will learn a lot as it is ever-changing and growing as a company thus you will as well

Cons

Hard to advance as many roles don't exist, to advance you usually have to move into another field within the company or have the position created It is not easy to go from AVP to VP, very critical
