Pros

-For awhile, LPL's outlook as a financial services has been pretty good (a little less so more recently). -The name is recognizable in the industry and has some innovative ideas which make it attractive to advisors. -Strong 401k match, occasional bonuses.

Cons

-Return to office push. -Ancient and outdated technology. -Compliance and red-tape make everything ridiculously hard to implement. -Higher-level leadership (especially in Marketing Solutions) is very out of touch with how to evolve the business to stay relevant. -Pay is below market value. -It seems extensive layoffs happen every couple months without any notice. You never know who is next and how it will impact your team/direct line of leadership.

Pros

Great coworkers and a supportive team environment. Free lunch on Mondays is a nice perk. Overall, there are a few positive aspects that make the day-to-day experience enjoyable.

Cons

Compensation felt low compared to workload expectations. Several departments appeared understaffed, which resulted in high volume responsibilities being handled by fewer team members. At times, training felt limited, and employees were expected to learn quickly on the job. Workload demands could feel challenging due to these factors. Management communication and consistency varied across teams.
