Pros

I have never been in a large design firm with such a great team culture. I have learned quite a bit so far since working here. Everyone who I have interacted with has genuinely been more than happy to help. My sense of design and understanding of the construction process has definitely improved since working at LS3P. I have also appreciated the variety of individuals who are joining the firm from all around the country. Recently, the firm announced their new strategy and future plans. I think that it is so valuable to have leadership (that is truly approachable) continually thinking about ways to innovate how we grow as a firm. I am confident in the direction we are headed!

Cons

I think sometimes people complain about being overworked but honestly, LS3P has provided many resources and flexibility if you are feeling bogged down. I have always felt like I can ask for help and that I am supported.

Pros

Pay and compensation is pretty competitive, considering internal promotions, yearly raises, bonuses and 401k contributions in addition to all of the benefits offered. Staff are friendly and seem to get a long well. Weekly lunch and learns are a great perk as well.

Cons

Honestly this is one of the best jobs I've ever had. There are always going to be issues, because no company or role is perfect. I think they are pushing to make positive changes in a variety of areas continuing to make it a great place to work.

Pretty good if you can avoid the politics

Pros

Good benefits, good vacation time if you are promoted, diversity of project experience, high project standards, at least decent attention to sustainability, good tech department.

Cons

Low pay; advancement dependent on office politics, a lot of developer-driven work which requires a lot of overtime. Developers win over sustainability.

We are a proud signatory of the AIA 2030 Commitment which focuses on reducing building energy consumption, lowering greenhouse gas emissions, conserving water, and improving air quality for all buildings. As a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, the firm also fosters expertise and education in smart design choices. Our Sustainability Leader is advancing both our projects and our people to honor our commitment to smart, high-performance design. We truly appreciate your thoughts!
