Pros
Lab49 hires only senior engineers. You will get to work with lots of primadonnas but also with a bunch of interesting characters who have nice stories to tell. Code quality is usually pretty good and so is attention to new technologies. Salaries are above average.
Cons
Poor culture / values, very poor work/life balance. Whimsical management with no long or even medium term vision. Tight deadlines, continuous priority shifting. You will get squeezed for all they can get out of you. Macho culture with loudmouths getting promoted on a regular basis. Turnover very high.
