Laidlaw Group, while small, has a very tightly knit group of young professionals. The company runs like a well oiled machine, turning client hopes for a website or media campaign into reality. The company is located in a great, if slightly tricky to reach by public transit, neighborhood. Great perks and state of the art equipment makes working here a delight. While there's no built in kitchen, a variety of great lunch spots are available with only a minute or two of walking.
Cons
As stated in the pros, the south end isn't the most accessible by public transit. My commute is slightly longer than it would be vs a more central location, but there's still a handful of buses that will get you close enough.
Steady standard small agency that's as good as what you make of it. Plenty of potential if you know where to look and consider the other reviews come from clearly inexperienced but possibly talented folks who are overvaluing the quality of their work and don't see Laidlaw as a great opportunity to build their skills. Seriously this is far from the most dramatic work environment ever, it's just an open plan office with a few introverts so everything else echos.
Cons
It's a small ad agency, surrounded by other agencies of varying sizes. Everyone in a 1mi radius is crazier than a barrel of monkeys.
