Pros

The fitness center is great, but you only get a chance to use it in the morning or evening. Some of the people are OK, but that's about it.

Cons

Became a very cut-throat environment. Used to be collaborative and people worked together. When I left it was every person for themself and each department was working toward different end goals. Developing product that was more about what management wanted and not what the customer wanted.

Pros

competitive pay for the area. Most of the people are friendly. employee discounts are available for cars, cell phones and for all of the companies involved with Sears Holdings. They offer lots of programs to keep the employees physically fit.

Cons

They do not offer good benefits to the average person working for them. no bonuses. they hire people then give them one or two days a week once the training is over. They make it nearly impossible to car pool but say they are going green.

Pros

Working at Lands' End has been a great experience so far. My manager understands and reminds that family and school come first, so I have no problem getting time off. Plus, someone else is always willing to pick up hours. I love the team I work with. Also, because we're not just cashiers, our quota for credit applications is much lower. And we get the same discounts as Sears employees which is very good on clothes.

Cons

Hours have been low lately, but I think that's normal for this time of year. As far as I can tell, unless you come in as a manager, there's no upward movement and the pay is minimum wage.
