Pros

Great base salary and benefits. Lots of perks if you work in the HQ in Dodgeville, Wisconsin. Good quality products, solid reputation, iron clad return policy.

Cons

Still tied to Sears (in over 200 Sears retail locations). If you work remotely you are treated differently than the Dodgeville folks are. Management is out of touch and very slow to make decisions. Enormous employee turnover (specially in sales).

Pros

Friendly co-workers Shift giveaways, trades, pretty flexible scheduling Pays better than most everything else in the area

Cons

Required to work at least one weekend day (sat or sun) Lack of pay raises Won't hire at full time, must start part time. Takes FOREVER to get promoted to full time. Benefits (health, dental, vision) are very expensive for very poor coverage

Pros

The company treats their employees in the same manner we are expected to treat the customer...with extraordinary care & service.

Cons

Because it's such a magnificent place to work, folks have been there 1,200 years (ok, a bit of hyperbole there) and it's darned near impossible to get in full-time.
