Pros

Landstar is a good place to be leased onto because as long as you do your job and stay out of trouble the management for the most part leaves you alone and lets you go your own way. For me as a self motivated person this is perfect. I can get more done and make more money if I don't have to hold someone elses hand so to speak.

Cons

I feel Landstar is a little greedy on their take from revenue that is generated from my work and my investment. The company seems to be more interested in takeing care of the shareholders than they do the people actually creating the companys income. The fact that they have a captive group leased on and still give the same consideration to outside contractors is a problem. I think at times this puts me at an unfair disadvantage with other compition.

Pros

great bennifits if they dont keep going up in price , most of the mgnt cares but there are a few bad apples

Cons

they give mgnt jobs to people who dont know how to work computers very well but they know how to talk a good game ... almost like they would be a great car saleswoman ... but not a supervisor.
