Pros

Good people, allowed to continue remote work post-pandemic, not overworked or overwhelmed 90% of the time and work/life balance is good, no issues taking PTO, solid 401(k) matching and healthcare benefits

Cons

Compensation is roughly 15-20% below industry competitors, accounting software applications are 25+ years old and there is no “one-stop shop” in place for the accounting system, raises not merit-based and are standard ~3% per year, no problems with DEI overall but culture is still a bit conservative, BOD’s and executives fairly siloed and too focused on earnings per share

Pros

I was lucky with the local, agency management. They provided good flexibility with the working hours.

Cons

The corporate office just doesn't care about you. If you lose your profit due to their actions - it's only your problem. If they lose their profit due to their actions - It's also your problem.
