      Pros

      Very good salary (plus bonus) and benefits. Independent work environment, not micro-managed. Interesting and challenging projects. Lots of training opportunities and room for career growth. Freedom to pursue different or new opportunities of personal interest.

      Cons

      Rollercoaster of having too much work followed by not having enough work. Challenge to stay billable while spending many hours on non-billable work. Limited mentoring and technical guidance, which sometimes feels like freedom and independence, and other times feels like you're being "thrown in the fire" on your own.
