      Better than a poke in the eye

      Pros

      If you need a job, it is one. If you're about to graduate from a computer science or engineering program (even biochem) and are interested in software or software sales, it's a foot in the door. 401k is generous, but profit sharing, so if the company isn't making as much, your match won't be as high.

      Cons

      - very low compensation for the industry - pre-COVID, did not allow telework except under extreme, pre-approved circumstances -- many in mgmt do NOT like telework and it will probably phase out if the virus is ever under a semblance of control - no diversity - incredible nepotism - focus on sales over actually making software - no ethics regarding who customers are or what customers request

      A foot in the door and that's about it

      Pros

      - due to a combination of cons (poor compensation, management issues, etc.), it's a job that's a quick way to get your foot in the door of the software industry - the friends you make along the way that share the same sentiments about the company

      Cons

      - poor compensation relative to the rest of the industry - compensation has gotten even worse over the last couple of years due to the reduction of 401k matching and mediocre raises - little to no room for career development, if anything, management will actively work against your development - heavy nepotism involved with promotions and raises - management is a train wreck with no clear direction - uninspiring product that doesn't help with dealing with any of the cons mentioned above

      Pros

      This tech company is located in Long Beach,CA which is really attractive . You can go to the beach and enjoy Southern Ca after a long day at the work. HR is great and always in search of how they can make employees happier. You are surrounded by very smart people as opposed to bigger companies. This company has really great work life balance at the same time you never feel like you are behind the technology. They don’t want you to work hard , they want you to work smart. Tech leads really care about latest technologies and put effort to apply to daily work. They support your personal growth and provide training as much as you need. They have pretty cool clubs to join. Their product is really cool which makes people life easiera

      Cons

      I was going to mention about high turn over but this is the problem that all the companies are suffering right now.
