Pros

Coming up on 6 years. Worked at 2 other places. This is by far the best! (my opinion) The company values my work and supports my contributions and growth (or is it just my team). There is a great sense of accomplishment on my team. We tackle exciting projects and of course lot of problems and challenges.

Cons

This environment is fast-paced and I've seen people not being able to catch up. To be fair not everyone fits well in this culture. I've seen a lot of turnover of people who can't make it. If you are struggling, it's time to switch teams or find a different company. Specifically, I've experience that directions are not completely mapped out and flexibility is left to the team. If you find energy in these situations, then you would excel. If you are cannot be productive in a low structured situation then this is not for you. My previous job was slow paced and directions were clearly mapped. It was not for me.

Pros

These are my personal pros, and mileage may vary: - WLB can be quite good. - There can be decent leadership within the team. - Feelings of camaraderie within teams that have had time to mature (i.e. retained employees for long enough). - I can work on different products or areas within my team. - Engineering leadership is modernizing tech, slowly but surely. - Expansion of cloud services into additional regions. - Engineering leadership (Head of Engineering and Head of QA) are top notch.

Cons

These are my personal cons, and mileage may vary: - Company and most employees are uninspired to do things that are great for customers. - Bureaucracy, as in any company that's complacent about its standing in the competitive market. - Poor pay raises and promotions. - Management makes empty promises. - President favors hiring interns and employees from Harvey Mudd (could be a pro if you're from Harvey Mudd). Due to the unmerited advantage that being a Harvey Mudd student lends, Harvey Mudd students seem to be disproportionately hired as interns, which also grants them an advantage after graduating and potentially getting offers from Laserfiche. They tend to also get higher starting salaries if hired as employees (which could be a pro if you're from Harvey Mudd). - Nepotism in regard to hiring (for example, hiring interns who are in high school and are children of engineering leads; hiring folks from Harvey Mudd may also fall under this point). - Poor retention rate of new hires. - Recent lack of hiring at the entry level. - Human Resources leadership does a poor job of trying to keep the employees happy, or to keep the new hires from leaving.
