Pros

There is no denying the experience one can obtain at Laserfiche is nothing short of sensational. Early on you will be called on to travel, host webinars, and present in front of industry professionals. There are few companies that allow one to take on so much responsibility.

Cons

With such freedom comes very little guidance. Goals are set that are simply unobtainable. There is little chance to make good money. The company has too many levels of bureaucracy and it can be hard to get daily tasks done in a timely manner.

Pros

Laserfiche offers excellent benefits, better than I've seen anywhere else in their healthcare, 401k matching contribution, and don't forget free lunch.

Cons

I have experienced some problems with inter-departmental communication and coordination. This has caused issues with delivering projects and determining requirements.

If you're looking to make money or experience substantial career growth, I don't recommend working here. Karl Chan is CEO largely because he has been at the company since the beginning, not because of vision. His internally written articles on the InsidePage tend to state the obvious rather than offer real strategic direction, and his background suggests he would have been better suited remaining in engineering. The broader executive team, including John M., Josep, and Anna, appears more focused on maintaining the status quo than driving innovation. There is little evidence of bold thinking or meaningful product or market evolution coming from leadership.
