      Pros

      An interdisciplinary environment with lots of potential opportunities to collaborate. Access to many resources, such as supercomputers, and most facilities at UC-Berkeley campus. Not to mention the gorgeous views from the lab – very picturesque location.

      Cons

      It is very expensive to live in the Bay Area, so the salary might not be enough to live conveniently. Though, this depends on the division one works in. Housing is a big problem in Berkeley, unless one is willing to live farther and commute everyday (not recommended with all the heavy traffic).

      Located in the hill. Limited choice for lunch at the cafeteria.
