      Pros

      My coworkers were some of the most intelligent people I've ever worked with. The projects I worked on were challenging and I had to do my best every day I worked there. Whereas I worked in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer, I was indirectly helping scientists find solutions for cleaner energy and environmental challenges.

      Cons

      None that I can think of.

      Great place for a postdoc

      Pros

      I'm a postdoc in the Physics division. Salary is OK for academic standards, great research flexibility, stimulating environment, smart people to work with.

      Cons

      Hard to get postdoc extension, or full-time positions at the Lab.

      Pros

      LBNL pays decently and the administration is all right. Lots of high-profile researchers and otherwise interesting people from all around the world.

      Cons

      The location is not the best, quite remote. The red tape can be annoying and there is always not enough money for anything.
