      Pros

      close ties to UC Bekeley campus research. Excellent research in renewable energy and smart grid applications

      Cons

      dated infrastructure and facilities. Some new buildings are being constructed though

      Pros

      The location is good, and the lab includes a big variety of resources.

      Cons

      Some scientists, so-called "PI" here, don't quite support their postdoc's career, although high work load are assigned to postdoc. For example, the opportunity for postdocs to go outside for conference is much smaller than in universities, though the PIs keep flying everywhere to present the data from their postdocs. So sad and discouraging!
