      close ties to UC Bekeley campus research. Excellent research in renewable energy and smart grid applications

      dated infrastructure and facilities. Some new buildings are being constructed though

      Pros

      I got to do hands-on research that I would otherwise need a higher degree for. I also made a ton of connections throughout the lab. The work atmosphere is pretty laid back, but that just depends on your research group.

      Cons

      Not really any cons. It's pretty hilly but that makes for a good workout!
