Tons of smart talented coworkers. An effective Postdoc Union. Challenging work. Salary increased frequently.
Cons
My work location was in Emeryville rather than on the hill. This was good du to its proximity to Berkeley Bowl grocery store, but was not the "true" Berkeley Lab experience. Compensation was not initially adequate for cost of living in the Bay Area, but was adjusted upward.
