Pros

- During my tenure at LeagueApps I experienced investment in me as an employee, through increased autonomy, access to learning tools, a raise in compensation that was actually reasonable. - I think LeagueApps has done a great job at integrating talent and culture. They have fostered an environment where talented, hard working individuals are all working towards a collective goal. - Having worked in companies with varying levels of structure/ bureaucracy, I can confidently say that LeagueApps stands out as a proud exception to the corporate culture.

Cons

- Senior Engineering leadership is stretched a little thin and sometimes feels overburdened with responsibilities - The technical discussions need to be moderated more, moving towards best practice/ current needs vs personal preference

Pros

LeagueApps is a great place to work. It’s an environment full of young people who love learning and bringing their 100% each and every day. The New York Office houses Sales, Marketing, Launch, Business Development, our President and CEO. There is a DC and SF team of developers. Bi-annually we come together with all departments and take three days away from our day jobs to analyze the business -- figure out what’s going well and what isn’t going well in each department. We leave with goals on how to get better, memories of fun outings with the team (Nets v. Spurs game, bowling and laser tag more recently), and an understanding of our culture/values better than before. One of my favorite parts of working at LeagueApps is how everyone has a voice. It’s an ideal StartUp environment that encourages leadership in all areas (not just your role or department).SPORTSDOG is an acronym for our values: Sportsmanship, Passion, Openness, Results, Team, Student of the Game, Difference Maker and Grit. I have never worked for another organization that is so bought into their culture and values. It’s a pleasure working at LeagueApps and I’m confident we will succeed at our goal: changing the world one sports organizer at a time :) You HAVE to love sports to work at LeagueApps. You HAVE to be a hard worker to work at LeagueApps. BUT mainly, you HAVE to care.

Cons

Long hours, but when you believe in what you’re doing and know that the people to your right and left are working just as hard, it isn’t too bad.
