Pros

Great resources, free training opportunities to add certifications, inexpensive pre-K program open to teacher's children.

Cons

Though I love teaching, I left due to the overwhelming workload. There is no work/life balance in my opinion and new book studies, trainings, etc constantly added to already overly taxed teachers. At many campuses there is a huge lack of support with discipline which is a BIG problem. Teachers are also often moved to different grade levels against their wishes which is extremely unprofessional.

Pros

Everyone working there is nice. Fun place to be a teacher. The students were diverse and needed good teachers. District content specific management was excellent.

Cons

Salary is pretty good before you are forced to take their insurance, which is about 1/5 of your pay. They only have plans that start with $2,000 out of pocket. Not a viable option for a single income for a family.
