Innovation and morale are sapped

Pros

There are a lot of good people throughout the company who work hard and care about producing great work every day.

Cons

When I left the company, corporate debt and budget cuts had forced furloughs, salary freezes and brought on universal low morale. Most managers appear to be working hard just to get by with thinner staffs, smaller news holes and burned out employees.

Pros

My job is great and always has been, but that is in spite of, not because of the way the company is run. Some Autonomy.

Cons

Difficult to live on the amount I am paid. Corporate intrusions into everything that is good about the paper. Quotas. Bureaucracy.

Pros

Solid benifits. Friendly coworkers. Hardworking local management. Get lots of training on the operating and maintenance of offset presses. Really good paid vacation and paid holidays.

Cons

Concerns about job security. Rate of pay seems below average. Press equipment is outdated and not in the best of shape. Need more innovation and ideas to attract more business.
