Pros

Great people, meaningful mission, and a strong benefits package. The health insurance in particular is second to none. You'll learn a lot about business and business law too, which is useful.

Cons

The sales org's trust in the higher ups has tanked over the last 6 months. The sales compensation plan is well-intended but the company seems to struggle with proper execution (net bookings minus a clawback for subscription cancellations within 60 days). They failed to pay a lot of us our commissions accurately or on time on multiple occasions recently, and we had to be the ones to initiate a resolution and check to find out what was even happening. You'll make sales that just never show up on the dashboard, then have to do manual admin. work to get credit for those sales. Even with a depleted lead pool, quotas continue to be set too high. Numerous President's Club winners are failing/struggling to reach goal and have left or are looking to leave. I guess all is well though since they allow a daily 15-minute mental health break.

Pros

The benefits are pretty good. Lots of great people to work with

Cons

The Leadership team has little empathy for employees. They only see the $'s which is necessary to run a successful business/team. You will get more out of people by engaging and inspiring vs. fear tactics. Layoffs happen frequently. Sales goals are not consistent and commission formulas seem sketchy. The COO is rude, arrogant, and downright disrespectful to many and is tolerated by all. You can lead a team and still be kind. He should learn how to do that.

Pros

We help a lot of people start businesses and take care of their families through our products. There used to be a lot of of fun in the office, work parties, outings, we had coffee come multiple times a week. There were ways to spend time with your teammates when you weren't on the phones.

Cons

In sales, the last year has become almost ridiculous. They implemented a new sales strategy, Griffin Hill, which is all right, but the man they hired to teach it is pretty high on his own medicine. This process takes longer, which means less contacts to make sales with, but goals keep going up every month (and I often wonder how on earth they expect us to keep pushing these new limits every month without screwing up our mental health - because they can't). LegalZoom used to have a natural cycle of a busy time and a slow time, and now they're trying to make us be busy all the time and it's exhausting. We went public this year, and while it was clearly a great way to line the C-Team's personal pockets, the stock options we were offered were a joke, and stock prices have fallen hard since then. Our tech is still from 2001 in so many options, and I'm not sure how LegalZoom's processing team will survive the death of Internet Explorer since so many teams still use it. Leadership is always asking for feedback, but when it comes to money and how it impacts employees, they don't seem to care.
