Leica Microsystems is part of Danaher Corp and as such adopts its business systems. Focus, commitment and continual improvement are the order of the day. The work is relentless in the corporate environment.. Fast paced work. Demanding.

Cons

Always expected to go the extra mile as 'standard'. No scope for promotion or career development. people in R&D wants to do exciting things but the company is entrenched in the past rather than embracing new technologies and methodologies.

Morale at work is low, most people are constantly stressed out People are scared to speak up and voice any concerns/disagreements There is no process in place to capture 360 degree feedback (can't officially provide feedback upwards to management) which I had voiced but not sure if it will ever be implemented
