Pros

Many opportunities in the form of different contracts to work on Internally, if staff is reduced on a contract, my experience is that Leidos will try to find a place for you somewhere else in the company, equating to good job security Hard work is noticed and rewarded

Cons

Some contracts may come with an overtime gate Weekend work may become an implied expectation from management instead of an ask from management

Pros

Leidos offers a lot of opportunities for those in technological careers and some supporting/administrative roles. Much of the work can involve advanced technologies in STEM and information technology, manufacturing, and business development to deliver their products and services. Customers are typically government, defense, federal health, and some civil oriented industries which are all highly regulated. The company has grown a fair bit organically and through acquisitions, which has led to job/opportunity growth for many, but also some selective reductions in functional groups for others whose role in the acquired businesses may be redundant. - Lots of quality and talented people to work amongst - Good for experienced professionals and diverse opportunities - Compensation packages can be good and a range of common benefits available - Lots of training information available and knowledge transfer encouraged across multiple domains - Company does meaningful work and serves critical customers in society - Flexible work arrangements as allowable depending on the nature of your work. - Diverse and inclusive per my experience - Overall the company is healthy financially and doing well - Meaningful work

Cons

Company priorities are shifting in some areas, which may create uncertainty in certain business areas and future outlook. Some business processes aren't as well-defined or resourced as expected for a company of its size leaving room for improvement but also work frustration. Recent restructuring and growth may have driven gaps which will be remedied given enough time. Despite being a large, multi-billion dollar company, in many circles the company may be unknown allowing for a more challenging competitive position. If involved in business development or similar, consideration of the business area may be crucial to understand probability of success.
