Business Outlook
Pros
They pay well and really do seem to try and treat their people good. I think that there is a lot of variation depending on what program you are working on. The company is set up like a bunch of small companies that are loosely tied together with some common services like IT, purchasing etc...
Cons
They are a government contractor so there is a lot of uncertainty based on getting the next contract. I have seen most of the people that were there when I started come and go via lay offs. The mid level management organization above me seems to change about twice a year so there is no continuity. Managers make decisions and are somewhere else by the time the results are felt. Then we get new ones that change everything and restart the cycle.
