Pros

Friendly people, really respect work life balance. Different products to work on.

Cons

Some of the marketing tech and data is rudimentary. Day in and day out can feel like just optimization of bids and budgets with no real top line goals except for increasing MoM and YoY performance.

Pros

In the realm of technology, specifically software engineering, you'll find a select few teams that excel in performance, have realistic levels of positivity, prioritize employee well-being, exhibit genuine care about the company, and remain motivated even after several layoffs. The work load is entirely manageable and reasonable as a SWE. No one is making you work over 40-hours a week. Individuals who go above and beyond in their work are typically those who genuinely find enjoyment in what they do.

Cons

Mandating employees to return to the office will not solve the challenges faced by the global economy, nor will it address the issues stemming from senior leadership's inadequate decision-making, at times. Double-digit attempts of the same project is not a sign of sound decision making, no matter the sycophant running it. The data organization has been slow to evolve, reminiscent of the 2008 era. It has primarily fostered nepotism and complacency, with a significant dearth of experience, teamwork, and effective leadership. Individuals in the data org who position themselves as the ultimate authorities on all aspects of applications, and the senior leaders who endorse this notion, display a profound lack of understanding regarding the realm of software engineering. The data org's mere existence in its current form is determinantal to the company. Lastly, it is important to understand that starting from 2018, HR plays a significant role in running the company, but unfortunately, the outcomes have been unsatisfactory. Some HRBPs lack sufficient experience and readiness to effectively address the genuine challenges that emerge. Instead, they frequently form support cliques resembling those found in middle school, catering to individuals with weaker personalities and a tendency for passive-aggressiveness. This approach inadequately addresses the core concerns and burdens managers with unnecessary personnel-related tasks.. HR needs to be reminded that running a business is an operational endeavor, not a playground or a game.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We appreciate your insights and take all concerns seriously. At LendingTree, we are continuously working to enhance our decision-making processes, leadership effectiveness, and employee experience. We've made efforts to address these issues and are committed to ensuring a positive work environment. We have a lot of good work to get done and we realize that our work gets done better (and faster) when we are together. This is why we have encouraged our teams to get back into the office three days a week. Our hybrid model approach still allows for flexibility, and we want our employees to be empowered to do their best work with a schedule that suits them best. Thank you, LendingTree Human Resources Department

- Predictable workload - Good benefits - The shell of a strong company culture

Cons

- Poor management decision led to several round of layoffs on top of economy - Big increase in "Office" politics - Forced Return to office pushing much talent else where - Low moral - No clear vision on how to turn things around - Investing in products that have little to no ROI
