Pros

Working in Aviation/Aerospace is exciting. The best part of my job is the pride you feel in seeing the finished product and showing it off to people when the opportunity presents itself. Some opportunity for travel if you find yourself in the right situation/department. They do have great medical & dental benefits.

Cons

No job rotation and career development opportunities are scarce. I personally came from another manufacturing environment; however, I did not have a great knowledge of Aviation. It would have been nice to have some type of orientation program that introduced an employee to the company and aviation/aerospace in general. Management takes forever to do anything because HR presence is non-existent & approval form our Italian brothers & sisters is always required.. Get your money when you are hired, because raises are non-existent. If you are a top performer, you may receive 3% per year. According to HR, the average raise for the company was 2% last year but I know many who received less. There is no merit based bonus structure. Poor work/life balance as there is no "work from home" option and the plant in Philadelphia has closed 1 time for a half day during my 4 years. Any employee who is not a Senior Manager or above has to clock in/out; even if they are salaried. No flexibility in doing 9 hours Mon-Thurs & leaving early on Friday.

Pros

At first seemed like great place to work.

Cons

Highly political atmosphere. Upper management only want to maintain their own positions of power and do so by damaging reputations and denigrating performance of subordinates.

Pros

Working on flying machines is cool

Cons

Severely below average pay, non-existent pay raises despite what they tell you (they will lie to you during the interview). Bonus target is intentionally set out of reach, and is minimal (5% of base salary) even if you do reach it. Extremely toxic management culture where Italian employees have the inside track on promotions / compensation and are held to completely different standards. Brand new employees are left to teach themselves everything, there literally is no onboarding plan. None. Managers only care about themselves, take credit for everything done well and will publicly humiliate employees when mistakes happen. Dirty, run down office facility. No parking, despite making employees come to the office and quite literally clock in every day.
