Great Company, Poor Leadership at the Store Level

Cons
* Significant fluctuations in hours can occur following changes in management. Employees may see their schedules reduced substantially with little explanation. * Internal growth opportunities can feel limited, even for employees with experience and a strong work ethic. * Long-term employees may not feel their experience, reliability, or institutional knowledge are adequately acknowledged. * Workplace culture and employee support can vary considerably depending on the management team in place. * Expectations regarding scheduling, performance, and development opportunities were not always communicated clearly or consistently. * Recognition, scheduling, and advancement decisions did not always appear to be applied consistently across employees. There was a pattern of promotion based favoritism among those who were friends outside of work. * I experienced a comment suggesting I was less suited for customer-facing opportunities because I am a man and therefore “couldn’t relate to our consumer.” This impacted my hours and my wage and made me feel discriminated against. Regardless of intent, the experience left me questioning whether employment decisions were based solely on performance.
