Pros

Work from home, lots of room to grow, free CEUS, great educational opportunities, including the inpatient CDP program. This program is wonderful for preparing you to be an inpatient coder. The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and truly enjoy what they do. It's paid training and has client placement afterwards. Everyone in the company is very friendly and are willing to help you with anything you need. Its a great company to work for!

Cons

No 401K match by employer

Pros

Friendly management, good pay, flexible schedules, benefits package, they provide you with computer and books, and you work from home !

Cons

I can't really blame them on this stuff, this is the work nature, but there is a frequent change in job assignments, sometimes you have a heavy work load, sometimes there is nothing to do. 401k lacks company contribution.

Amazing people! Really good medical benefits including eye & DDS. Opportunities for bonuses based on productivity!! I get to work from home! Culture is very professional yet friendly. Goals/expectations are attainable. Flex time is sometimes possible.

Cons

There are no cons - this is sincerely the best job I've ever had and I've been working for multiple decades.

Pros

Remote work from home. Was a good company until they started off-shoring coding, then they laid off en masse with no warning. Hours were flexible as long as you put your 40 hours in weekly. Some managers had " pets" who could get away with not working much, but continue to collect a paycheck. Other managers were personable & appreciated their employees dedication to meeting deadlines, but those mgr positions were revolving doors.

Cons

PTO was re-engineered in 2016 & we lost normal PTO hours- since Jan 2016 former PTO is called "discretionary days off" & we could no longer cash in our accumulated unused PTO days after 2014. Raises are promised at reviews but it takes several months and permission from Upper mgt at corporate level to get them into the paycheck, & they are not retroactive to employee review date. There is no employer match for 401K. Company was bought by another entity several years ago & the previous monthly or quarterly employee perks of showing employees any appreciation with some token advertising gift for their hard work disappeared when the new people took over.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. There is an SME that can help employees with any client, coding, or employment question you have! Please ask your manager for assistance contacting the right SME for your needs.

Pros

You’re Just a Number Of course, a large company is big. You knew that going in. But, what you may not have realized is that when you work for a large company, it can be hard to feel seen as a person. Or, hard to feel like you and your efforts make a difference at the company. When you’re one employee of hundreds or even thousands (or hundreds of thousands), you may feel like a cog in a meaningless wheel.

Cons

permanent work from home for us
