Pros

Great vacation time and good benefits. Lots of little perks if you are in the office headquarters.

Cons

Promotions are few and far between for non-managers. There are many barriers to break through here, with no clear path to success unless you are fortunate enough to know someone with inside information on how to advance. Compensation is below market for many positions.

Pros

Excellent product suite with a dominant place in the insurance data market. The entire P & C Insurance industry is aware of this group so an account rep can always get at least a hearing from a prospect or customer. Expectations are reasonable. Support from within company is excellent (marketing, IT, etc...). Director has true vision into creating new products and solutions for the insurance industry. There are genuine opportunities to advance to higher positions. Promotion is based on merit.

Cons

The benefit plan at this company is not great. This group used to be called ChoicePoint. ChoicePoint was an incredibly great company to work for. Since this group has been taken over by LexisNexis it has really gone downhill in terms of the way employees are treated. Compensation is down, benefits are much worse and short term success vs. long term relationship development is emphasized more (although sales positions are still consultative). Sales jobs in this group are outstanding but only a shadow of what they were when the group was the company called ChoicePoint.
