People in the Commercial Market group are more often promoted based upon how well they are liked by members of the management team, or a single member, versus how well they can do the job. People who perform poorly are NEVER released from employment, they just play along enduring lower performance ratings with 3% raises and no bonus, and those around them have no choice but to endure the sub-par work product - or do the work themselves. The management encourages employees to report "inappropriate behavior", but it goes unaddressed unless a customer experiences it and bumps it up. Liberty Mutual executive leadership (CEO) is excellent but their mid-level management - depending upon the region you work in - gets away with alot of mismanagement.
