Pros

They have a traditional pension, flexible work enviroment, and there is a lot of room for advancement. Ability to work from anywhere in the us.

Cons

Good old boys network still exists and often it is hard for people to break in to senior leadership positions.

Pros

There is a 401K with matching and an employer paid pension, which is very rare. The medical benefits are ok, the state I work in is only offered one health plan choice BCBS. It is about $160 per month for me and my kids, and then there is a $200 deductible per person. Time off is good and increases once you have been employed for three years. Salaried employees work week is based on 37.5 hrs, but I don't think I have ever worked a 37.5 hr week. I average about 45 to 50 hrs week, that being said their are people in my office that leave on time. Your work experience here is highly dependent on who you report to, which is probably true of most companies.

Cons

There is no flexibility in your work day, you can't take a 1/2 day off. You can't work from home, ever. The management directions are very process oriented. There isn't a lot of flexibility in how you perform your job.

Pros

Good benefits. oppurtunity for good income

Cons

No job security, they like to clean house if you mak to much money. They do not offer a flexible schedule for worklife balance when your punished for not being the top seller by forcing changes on your schedule as punishment.
