Pros

Its a good place to begin your career in sales/insurance. Its been a good experience overall.Their is flexibility in your schedule to balance work and family. Your first couple years you can earn some decent money!

Cons

Not much room to move up the ladder and grow due to much restructuring within. You will put in allot of time to grow your book of business!! You can burnout just trying to make numbers and exceed to make the "real" money !! Management doesn't always provide details on how to improve your process. They like their sales reps in the office everyday, when much of job can be done remotely.

Pros

There is a lot of training offerred to employees.

Cons

New managers w/o proper managing skills at the time. They are also very Production oriented. Having work life balance for my particular position was impossible.

Pros

Career opportunities are available if you are in the right place at the right time. The company has a large presence in the NorthEast (MA/NH) and the Mid West (Indiana/Ohio/Wisconsin), if you are located in one of these areas or are able to relocate, the opportunities abound. The health and educational benefits are excellent. Pursuing a degree or further training in your area of expertise is encouraged and for the most part paid for in full. Depending upon Dept. management employee recognition is common. The yearly bonuses are excellent and based upon the employee's rating and the results of each Business Unit. Overall, compensation is excellent.

Cons

Morale in many areas is down due to the major changes that are taking place. There always seems to be some sort of reorganization going on, causing extreme changes in business process, office closures, files moving from one office/jurisdiction to another. I used to feel extremely proud to say I worked for Liberty Mutual, but with the frequent office closings and staff changes it is difficult to tell someone that it is a good place to work. People get jobs with a Fortune 100 company, and within a year are out of a job because an office is closing. How is that reponsible?
