LSS wasted my time. I am a librarian with 8 years of experience and applied for an opening here. No salary was listed but the website said "competitive wages" and I was able to put my salary range on the application. I was offered a job and the pay was laughable- similar to the starting salary for a library technician- not a librarian. Salary was nonnegotiable and they would not pay more. I was actually offended when they told me the pay-the minimum pay I would take was 20k more a year so you do the math

Poor communication, managers and admin are always behind on projects, no room for advancement and raises if you get them are so small they're insulting. LS&S doesn't care about its library employees getting paid a living wage or counter COLA inflation. This is a problem at LS&S libraries across the country!
