Pros

The collections are amazing. Opportunities for intellectual development are numerous and encouraged. Many interesting programs, lectures, films, curator talks year round, free world-class concert series. Good benefits package. Telework.

Cons

Lots of bureaucracy and red tape. Commuting can be wearing. It takes a long time to get things done administratively. The library is understaffed, people retire, and the positions remain unfilled.
