Pros

- 4th Largest Retailer in the World = lots of opportunities to fail (but A LOT of wasted money) - Great Benefits and starting PTO balances - Good pay for lower level employees (associates and supervisors)

Cons

- International brand and Directors are still getting used to the US way. - Most of the departments in HQ and the Regions are run by underperforming District Managers who basically got told they can not run stores, so instead of rightfully firing them, Directors placed them in lateral positions outside of the Sales Department......UM HELLO??? - 75% of the "good" District Managers don't have the slightest clue about retail, let alone how to run a store. - All of the performing Store Managers (which their aren't many) get no recognition, get paid the exact same as poor performing managers, who are sitting in training centers doing nothing, and get stuck in the "performance punishment" trap. There is not a single US retailer I can think of that doesn't have a performance based compensation program for their Retail Management, until now. - Not competitive Store Manager pay. Oh ya did I mention NO bonus structure either??? - Payroll and HR Departments are horrible. Just forget about doing the right thing for your emoloyess. ie. Pay issues, NO recognition program throughout the entire company, let alone for the stores to utilize; no structure what so ever - Company has great values on paper, but does NOT follow a single one. (Respect, Recognition, Responsibility = TRUST) - LOTS of IT and Real Estate fails.

Pros

- Growing International Corporation - Opportunity to quickly advance - Great for people looking for company politics and a corporate ladder to climb.

Cons

- No work life balance, expect to but in and maintain 60 plus hours to be in contention for advancement. - Corporate culture is very does not encourage flexibility even though they tell employees it does. - Incompetent lower and middle management. Nepotism, unrealistic expectations for employees, a lack of respect, and clickish. - High Turnover in most departments. - Pay is mediocre/low relative to work expectations. - In office dress code is essentially business professional, especially for men. Expect to wear a suit and tie. - Very strict office etiquette, must push in chair at desks or get written up.

Pros

The company gives you a company car (GMC Terrain) an IPhone and there is European Travel and training for some Purchasing Managers.

Cons

This company has poor and unorganized leadership. Often asked to do the same task three or four times over due to terrible oversight. Terrible place to start your career due to lack of training and development. There is conflict with European Management style and American talent, people are often belittled and embarrassed as a coaching mechanism. Company doesn't follow through on promises and commitments. Poorly trained leaders and promote people not based upon merit, lack of consistency in promotional process. Seek elsewhere if you want a stable company who invests in its people and treats them well. Major issues with diversity and lack of minorities and women in leadership. A point and blame others (other departments, international counterparts) company culture... not one of team building and inclusion.
