Pros

Free fruit and veg offered to staff after purchasing assessed new suppliers

Cons

Bullying by management. When this was reported to a senior manager, the bully was always protected. I saw so many colleagues in tears in the bathrooms. Also, we were clearly told never to speak to people levels above us. I said hello to the managing director at the Christmas party. Simply saying that one word got me called into my managers office the following working day for a screaming fit!

Pros

The colleagues were the best part of the jobs. However, the support from some of the managements was also good

Cons

Working hours were very bad as there were some very early and late shifts. Also the company is expecting from you to sweat a lot while working.

Pros

The amount of responsibility placed in its employees and the opportunity for development leads to a very strong buy in to the Lidl brand, excellent managerial structure and support encourage progression and promotes self confidence. The correct amount of autonomy allows you to put your stamp on a Global brand. If you want to go to work and take it steady then this is not a job for you but if your looking for a job where time flies and thrive on responsibility then you've found your calling. They pay very well but expect value for their money. Understandable.

Cons

Training plans are quite ambiguous but you decide your path, you only get out what you put in. Hours are long and the allocated break times are Dickensian but time flies and so you rarely notice. No performance related pay rises, 1% incremental only with no sway.
