Pros

Good Benefits Good Salary

Cons

Hard to advance or move positions, there is a huge problem with nepotism and favoritism. There are long hours with not much recognition, unless you are one of the favorites. You are looked down upon if you have a life outside of the company, as in, you have family obligations that limit your time to 40 hours a week. Not all of the managers are qualified because they just earned degrees and have no experience in managing individuals-- some who've actually had managing experience or previous professional experience. HR is a disaster depending on the section you have to deal with.

Don't walk . . . Run from Lidl

Pros

None. Run away fast.

Cons

Avoid this Company. Zero work life balance. Purchasing-Admin will prove this beyond a shadow of doubt. Management literally runs around departments asking question that a department holds zero authority over. No Upper Management Plan ever shared. Just get it done and figure out--then get blamed when work not done.

Pros

Company health insurance was decent

Cons

HQ "leadership" is a puppet role and does not involve any actual leading. But how can it? None of them know a single thing about retail in the US. Management positions are reserved for incompetent, insecure, Yes Men (gender neutral) to serve as overseers and personal bullies for the lower level employees. Despite using more company time (pointless meetings) and resources (sizable salary), they do the least amount of work, if any. It always a was a running joke/genuine question to ask "what does [name] even do?" Everybody spends all their time working on/talking about/revising/reviewing/documenting The Process instead of doing acutal work. You would think from the amount of time spent on it that the stores sell processes. Sadly, if they did, they would still be as low quality as their products.
