Pros
If your dream job involves kicking back and not having much to do, this won't be a good fit. But if you were born to run, if you want to work with passionate people who spur each other on by their examples and support each other with genuine compassion and humility, and if you are excited about personal growth, this is the place to be.
I'm in my second year. In year one, I was impressed by the overall mindset and values. In year two, I've been impressed by seeing them in action when the rubber hits the road: leadership's commitment to the team during Covid, acknowledging and working through issues that were holding us back, and leaning in to vision. There is nothing trite about our value statements!
Cons
Not a con to me, but my compensation was much higher when I was working at a for-profit company. Wouldn't change a thing though.
