Mission Minded

Pros

The mission of Life.Church has remained the same throughout the years and keeps the entire staff focused. However, the way we go about achieving that mission has changed with the times to foster innovation and risk-taking ideas. We also have a culture of development - both professional and personal. We all strive to improve and bring our best every day. This culture helps us to get out of the "that's how we always do it" mindset and encourages taking on challenges to stretch individuals to propel the organization forward. Plus, there are great benefits and perks such as health care, FSA, employer-match 401k, and many more.

Cons

It's a growing, learning organization, so if you're not comfortable with change, pivots, and fast-paced work environment it might not be a fit for you.

Forgetting the mission....

Pros

Ministering to people. Knowing I was doing Kingdom work! Benefits were good! Met a lot of new, amazing people!

Cons

They are turning the church more into a business. Numbers were more important than people. High demands. Expectations were rediculous!Little time with your family. Work 5-6 days a week, depending on campus. High turnover. People were placed into positions they were not qualified. And, don't expect to stay at a campus for more than 3 years. You are expected to grow and move up the ranks, even if you didn't feel called.

Pros

The Central staff is great! Lots of friendly, hard-working people will motivate and encourage you. Every time you visit Central, you'll come away energized and inspired.

Cons

Some of the remote campuses are horribly mismanaged. Because of bad leadership guiding out-of-state (outside Oklahoma) campus pastors, several campuses are experiencing lots of turmoil, drama, and high turnover. Bad leadership tricked down to the campus pastors, who are ill-equipped to manage their campuses. These remote campuses — not all of them but many of them — therefore do not operate as an LC campus should.
