Pros

You will meet some of the best and most passionate people at YouVersion. You get to work on an app that impacts people's spiritual journey.

Cons

The work environment is very corporate since new leadership, which limits flexibility and creativity. The company is not growing in a healthy manner, with significant changes happening on a weekly basis. You may find yourself suddenly reassigned to a completely different team without being consulted or given any say in the matter. Leadership imposes tight deadlines without considering the impact on employee well-being. Burnout is common, and managing it is expected to be the employee's responsibility, rather than a concern for leadership. The values of YouVersion do not always align with the values of LifeChurch, which can lead to confusion and frustration for employees working across both entities. The company operates with a top-down approach, leaving little room for employees to contribute their ideas or have a say in the projects they work on.
