Pros

Managers get an apartment, if there is one. Benefits for full time. 9 to 6 schedule.

Cons

Working 7 days a week if you have no associate. There was a time I worked for 4 months straight with no help at all. Extremely strict policies, if you're even a penny short on a deposit prepare for consequences. Part time gets no benefits except vacation and you will have to do maintenance of the property. Including picking up dead things and having customers defecate on the property. Apartments are no longer available at all, if you're a new manager or transfer to another property they are no longer letting managers live on property.

most storage customer are great -

employees steal from the company - management does nothing about it... if you have stock = sell... they have a corporate Q&A monthly and never answer the question put forward and they choose the question. But its mandatory to watch their video. Bonus' are bogus... the company core values are not up held at store level - that means they are not up held at any level... 10.00 per hour to clean, sweep, dust, blow leaves or snow and then try to help a customer all dirty and smelly... not a nice way to handle customers... so many things wrong - needs a lot of help

Pros

Great interaction with many different types of customers. Has internal software guide to help sell & go over policy's. Hear many stories about customers life.

Cons

Management level and higher has very poor communication. The right thing could be wrong or vice versus. This job is more if u have already retire and need something to do, so incase u get let go because budget can't afford you or some other random poor reason this action wouldn't hurt u financially.
