Pros and Cons

Pros

High energy environment, not much slow or quiet time if you enjoy that type of workplace (dependent upon the club) Free Gym membership for yourself and you can add a person onto your membership for $60/month

Cons

Your entire experience will be dependent upon the individual club itself meaning that the culture will be made up solely based on the Club Management or General Leader or MCL "Membership Concierge Leader" as it is called at Life Time. Be careful not to transfer out of one club for another thinking that it will be the same because it likely will not be. The pay at Life Time is extremely low. You will typically make as a Level II-III at most $2,500 a month working Full-Time and this is based on a Premiere Level Life Time location where the starting price for a single membership was $299. The Health Insurance is extremely expensive for Life Time to only offer $19-21 an hour for Full-Time and even less for Part-Time. Keep in mind that the Membership Concierge position is the highest paid department in all of Life Time - at $19-21 an hour max without the guarantee of an annual raise. A Membership Concierge does not receive commission. The Employee Discount at the cafe is 20% but only on Life Time branded food or the food located on the menu which your average meal (if you buy from the cafe will be $12-15 even after the discount) and you likely will not have a break room if you want to bring your lunch. Another pivotal point to mention is that if you want to have any discussion with HR, you will be assigned a “Specialist” and that Specialist will tell you that your concern is being “investigated” but since you wish to remain anonymous that it may be “difficult” to provide an update. Your update will come in very “copy and paste” no humane element. This is a consistent method.
